Description

“This is smooth! Sourced from 85 year old vines, Confluence is Aphelion’s flagship wine which is made using a mixture of whole bunches and matured in large-format old French oak. An  elegant ensemble of red berries and spices. If you haven’t tried Aussie grenache before – now is the time and this is the wine.” – Jimmy

About the winery – Aphelion

Aphelion was founded in 2014 by husband and wife team Rob Mack and Louise Rhodes with a focus on hand-picked, small-batch winemaking and a mission to “bottle sunshine” (aphelion is Greek for “from the sun”). Less than ten vintages into their journey, Aphelion’s rise has been meteoric, winning multiple accolades including McLaren Vale’s Best Small Producer award in 2019. Aphelion’s speciality is Grenache, both the white and red varieties.
